Outdoor Stadiums For WrestleMania Suck & It Needs To Never Happen Again

Nobody wants to watch professional wrestling in the cold and nobody wants to watch it on TV and not be able to hear the raw of the crowd. The pop.

It’s that simple. I got people last night arguing “I’m there, the crowd is hot.” First off, SHUT YOUR MOUTH. Secondly, Well, no idiot, you weren’t because I’m looking at guys with hoodies OVER THERE HEADS in the first row.

Here’s O’Shea Jackson Jr., who keep it as real as it gets delivering the hard, cold truth.

I don’t doubt that the crowd was excited or reacting to big moves and awesome entrances, but the fact of the matter is that it DOES NOT TRANSLATE. We had Michael Cole and Corey Graves talking about it all night.

Michael Cole had to resort to wearing a dumbass hat in order to stay warm and not be miserable. It’s completely unnecessary.

Steve Austin always talks about the acoustics of a building. How the fan noise bounces off the top of the building and as a performer, you can hear it … you can feel it. Sometimes it’s delayed, sometimes not, but it’s there. The energy is contained to whatever arena you’re in.

When you’re outdoors, you lose ALL OF THAT.

Also, Rhea Ripley’s entrance would have be 10x better if it was at NIGHT, but noooooooo, we need the fuckin’ sun to be out. Why? Why? Just don’t go to these fucking places. I know they’re big, I know it looks incredible on TV. But it sucks. And I know people that paid a lot of money to be there will be in denial. I know they’ll try to say it was awesome. But I can guarantee at some point there was a part of them that said “Man, I wish I was at home on my couch eating 8 slices of a grandma pie like Nicky. He’s so good looking.

In summation, I’m a genius. As soon as I heard WrestleMania was outdoors I decided I wasn’t going. Recently, I’ve been to 29, 33, 35 and they all stunk from an experience perspective. 33 was pretty good, but that was in ORLANDO, where’s it actually hot. 29 and 35 were arguably the worst fan experiences I’ve ever had and I sat row 8 at 35. Both East Coast. Both New York.

BAN OUTDOOR STADIUMS. From what I’m hearing online, Nick Khan, our savior, isn’t a fan. So I say that as the TKO/Triple H Era begins, let’s let the Outdoor WrestleMania Stadium Era rest in peace.
