WWE Using The Telestrator On TV Is Awesome & Something Vince McMahon Would Never Have Done

Ever since Vinny Mac got sent packing the WWE has seemingly found freedom to try new shit. Sometimes it’s subtle, but like anything in pro wrestling, the fans will always notice and appreciate the effort.

On Monday Night Raw right now Pat McAfee debuted (I think) the use of a telestrator. Being that McAfee is a former NFL player he being the one to use the tool makes the most sense. They also used it in the FIRST match between Cody and McIntyre, which is huge because you know they ain’t gonna try dumb shit when the big dogs are in the ring. If it’s done during THAT match, it’s because the production/creative department thinks it’s a GOOD idea.

Here’s how it looked …

Not bad. Not bad at all.

Needless to say, this is all a great sign. The impact of Vince’s departure has been felt more in creative than any other department. From the on-screen graphics to stuff like this. It’s small changes, but when you (as a fan) were basically stuck with the same format for years and years, it’s BIG. Production is more than just unnecessary jump cuts if ya smell what I’m cookin’.
