When the TKO partnership came to be there was huge speculation about whether or not there would be crossover between the UFC and WWE.
Could UFC fighters wrestle? Would former WWE Stars like a Matt Riddle have a chance to migrate back to the UFC? The thought was that it probably wouldn’t happen
However, tonight was the first strike. Michael Chandler was given a live mic and a planned segment with full intro from RAW ring announcer Samantha Irvin.
Not only was Chandler intro’d, but when he took the mic he did two things
1. He pumped up the crowd and anointed himself the most entertaining fighter in the UFC
2. He called out Conor fucking McGregor. Told him to get his Irish ass back in the Octogan. Just fuckin’ wow!
What a move for WWE and the UFC. The wrestling audience has officially been put on notice. The TKO Era is here and things are bigger, badder and better than ever.
